Gaia was one of the primal elements that first emerged at the dawn of creation, along with air, sea and sky. She was the great mother of all. The heavenly gods were descended from her union with the sky.

Gaia was depicted on a Greek vase painting as a buxom, matronly woman, half risen from the earth. In mosaic art, Gaia appears as a full-figured, reclining woman, often clothed in green, and sometimes accompanied by grain spirits. She was portrayed as inseparable from her native element.

When reading about the Gaia mythology, I believe it is saying that out of chaos came beauty. She fights for justice to gain balance.

Gaia is the symbolism of all of Nature on Earth (as the pictures of Gaia portray), Nature working together, using Love and respect.

Gaia is symbolic of the Sacred Feminine, nurturing others, the land, the plants, and the animals, etc.

If we like growing plants, looking after children, animals, etc, we are in balance with Gaia energy. When we see a place that is barren, we may come up with ideas of how to manifest it full of life - a place of living harmony. This we can also do in our homes.
